Make Your Own Historical Letter With Wax Seals
Join us at the Gorgas House Museum on June 8 and June 22, 2024 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to get hands-on experience working with historic writing utensils and learn how to make your own wax seal! UA Museums is happy to announce Sonya Harwood-Johnson as the new Director of the Gorgas House Museum, filling a vacancy created by Dr. Brandon Thompson’s appointment as the new UA Museums Curator of History. Sonya has an MA in Religion in Culture, Digital Humanities Certificate, and Online Pedagogy Certificate from The University of Alabama and a BS degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies from Iowa State University. “Women of the Tide” Exhibit
An exhibit showcasing women whose contributions and achievements have had an impact on the University of Alabama will open Friday at the Gorgas House Museum on campus.
