Slow Art Day: The Blue Bead Project

The blue bead excavated behind the Gorgas House Museum.

Learn about our shared past by visiting The Gorgas House Museum on April 13, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm to see The Blue Bead Project for Slow Art Day

A blue bead (dating back to the antebellum period) that was excavated behind the Gorgas House Museum inspired creative projects that University of Alabama students completed and will be on display inside the museum. Make and take your own bead bracelet home as a reminder of this event, the students’ work, and the significance of the bead!
